Benita Yi is a Registered Social Worker. She provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults who may be experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, adjustment to illness, perfectionism, trauma, and grief and loss. Benita’s approach to her clinical therapeutic practice is grounded in client-centered, strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed lenses. She integrates different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, narrative therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and mindfulness.

We currently offer both in-person and virtual (i.e. videoconferencing and telephone) sessions to support you through your challenging times. We provide evidence-based and effective psychological treatment, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), among others. We aim to provide clients with a safe and comfortable and collaborative environment in which to help you explore and resolve your current difficulties in a manner consistent with your goals and values.
